Nurse-led care plans, competency assessments, and clinical training for PAs and HCAs supporting people at home.
Our Mission
Enfermera was founded by experienced nurse Jo Percival who saw a recurring challenge: personal assistants and healthcare workers delivering vital care at home — without always having the clear, clinical guidance they needed.
We bridge that gap, offering nurse-led training, assessments, and easy-to-follow care plans that turn uncertainty into competence, and good intentions into great care.
What We Offer
Written by nurses and designed to be practical, person-centred, and PA-friendly. Everything your team needs to deliver care safely, confidently, and consistently.
Our nurses assess your staff using their own NMC PIN and clinical scope — ensuring safe, registered accountability with real-world reassurance.
Why Enfermera?
We understand the realities of delivering complex care in people’s homes — and we train for it. Our approach blends clinical expertise with compassion and clarity, so every PA or HCA feels empowered to care confidently.
Meet the Founder
With 18 years of frontline nursing experience — including international practice in Australia — Jo founded Enfermera to close the gap between clinical standards and in-home support. Her passion is simple: to help people receive safe, high-quality care, and to equip those delivering it with the confidence, knowledge, and credibility they deserve.
Expectations vs Intention
Expectations put pressure on carers to be perfect — and that often leads to stress, mistakes, or burnout. At Enfermera, we shift the focus to intention: showing up with clarity, purpose, and presence. That mindset — supported by clinical training and clear care plans — is what transforms care from task-based to truly person-centred. When intention leads, excellence follows.
We have been supported by Enfermera in several complex cases whereby the company provide clinical training to Personal Assistants to meet the individual needs of clients with Complex Needs. The training is comprehensive, well-referenced and value for money. As the trainers are PIN registered nurses this reduces the need for the ICB clinical staff to oversee the training and provide clinical sign off of the training competencies. Enfermera also provide the completion of care plans and risk assessments in cases where the PHB is provided by PA’s alone with no oversight from a brokerage service, however, still requires meeting the mandatory requirements within the PHB process.
